Frischhut becomes part of Tiroler Rohre GmbH: A strategic step into the future
The takeover by Tiroler Rohre GmbH (TRM) on 1 July 2022 marks the start of a new chapter for Frischhut. The traditional Bavarian manufacturer of fittings and other high-quality cast products is joining forces with a strong partner to further drive growth and strengthen its market position in Europe.
Through the integration into TRM, Frischhut will benefit from the combined expertise and joint sales activities in future. The number of employees at both companies will increase from 230 to 380, which will not only provide stability, but also new opportunities and prospects. Together, the two companies achieved a turnover of 130 million euros last year.
‘The takeover by TRM is an important strategic step for Frischhut. Together with TRM, we can expand our product range and act as a full-service provider. This will strengthen our position in the water supply sector and enable us to serve our customers even more comprehensively and reliably,’ emphasises Christoph Aigner, the new Managing Director of Frischhut.
With the takeover, Frischhut is laying the foundations for a secure long-term future. ‘By combining Frischhut and TRM, we have taken another strategic step towards growth. In addition to pipes and piles, the entire product range can be offered as a system in future, guaranteeing security of supply in this critical segment,’ comments TRM Managing Director and owner Max Kloger on the takeover. It was his family that took over the tube factory in Hall, which was founded in 1947, in 2013 and increased turnover by 70 per cent within ten years. Former BTV CEO Peter Gaugg has also held a 30 per cent stake in TRM since 2017.
The collaboration between Frischhut and TRM will pave the way for even greater security of supply in the water infrastructure sector and offer joint customers innovative solutions and comprehensive system offerings. As part of the TRM Group, we look forward to making our contribution to a strong, European total supplier.
